  • General FAQ: When should I book entertainment for my event?
    You should try to book as soon as possible. Some of the entertainers get booked sometimes 4 months out!!! When booking, you will pick your event day, time of event, character, activities, and anything else you would like us to know. And if you want a certain entertainer that you loved from another event, let us know! Your party is not booked until you pay the $75 nonrefundable deposit.
  • General FAQ: How do I calculate my travel fee?
    For Entertainers, Character Performers and Singing Telegrams: We use MapQuest to determine your travel fee with a starting Destination of 307 Cardinal Dr Woodstock, GA 30188. Based on the mileage from our office to your location calculate $1.50 per mile one way. For Yard Decorations: We use MapQuest to determine your travel fee with a starting Destination of 307 Cardinal Dr Woodstock, GA 30188. Based on the mileage from our office to your location calculate $2 per mile one way.
  • General FAQ: Should I tip my entertainer? And if so, what is customary?"
    Gratuity is NOT automatically included. If your expectations are exceeded, your Party Team would sincerely appreciate a service gratuity after the party. A customary gratuity ranges between 10-20 percent of the package price.
  • General FAQ: Outdoor Events and Weather
    All events are “rain or shine” unless otherwise stipulated. The CLIENT is responsible to provide an alternate indoor location in the event of inclement weather. We highly recommend having the performer conduct activities inside. If you choose an outside party, you will need to make sure the outdoor area is clean and shaded. The location must be free of dirt, mud, rain and extreme wind. Our Performers are wearing high-end costumes and wigs that cannot risk being stained, or wind-blown. The performer reserves the right to leave the location if she is being subjected to rain or wind that is damaging to her costume or wig. On sunny days, please provide a completely shaded/covered area for the performer and all activity he/she conducts. We will not be doing any outside parties if the temperature exceeds 95 degrees or falls below 60 degrees.
  • General FAQ: Do you require a desposit?
    Yes, we require a $75 deposit to book your entertainer. The balance due plus any applicable travel fee will need to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your event.
  • General FAQ: What areas do you service?
    We are located in Woodstock, GA. Serving the following areas and beyond: Bartow County, Cherokee County, Cobb County, DeKalb County, Fulton County, Paulding County, Pickens County, Acworth, Alpharetta, Atlanta, Austell, Ball Ground, Canton, Cartersville, Cumming, Dallas, Decatur, Duluth, Emerson, Hiram, Holly Springs, Jasper, Kennesaw, Lebanon, Mableton, Marietta, Nelson, Norcross, North Metro, Peachtree Corners, Powder Springs, Roswell, Rydal, Smyrna, Suwanee, Talking Rock, Tate, Taylorsville, Waleska, White, Woodstock Travel Fee may apply for some areas.
  • General FAQ: What is your cancellation policy?
    Entertainers and Character Performers: Our entertainers clear their schedule for your event and refuse other bookings to keep you a priority. All fees are non-refundable. No refund will be issued due to inclement weather. No refunds are issued for cancellations. Bookings can be rescheduled if done 3 weeks prior to the event. Singing Telegram: To cancel a visit, you must contact us at least 72 hours in advance (during business hours). If the 48 hours notice is not given, you will be charged full price. Yard Greetings: To cancel a visit, you must contact us via phone at least 72 hours in advance (during business hours). If the 72 hours notice is not given, you will be charged the full price or receive a credit towards another date. If we attempt delivery and cannot setup the display due to wrong address provided by client, being denied access due to missing gate code, animals in yard, or any other circumstances there will be no refund. If we need to re-deliver, there will be an additional charge.
  • General FAQ: Generic vs. Licensed Characters
    All Characters are Generic: We wish to express it is not our intention to violate any copyright laws. All characters are generic costumes and are not affiliated, licensed or associated with any corporation or trademark. Should you have the need for a licensed, copyrighted character for your event, we encourage you to contact the company/copyright holders for your specific targeted character. In addition, we only accept bookings from individuals that are aware that we do not represent any licensed characters.
  • Singing Telegram: What is a Singing Telegram?
    A singing telegram is more than just a person showing up and singing a song. It's a professional actor doing a ten to fifteen minute comedy skit as the character of your choice. We present a pink souvenir telegram, sing a comedy song for the occasion, and work personal information into the verbal part of the show. They won't ever forget it!
  • Singing Telegram: Where can you do a Singing Telegram?
    Just about anywhere! We go to homes, offices, schools, and restaurants. It's a good idea to call and make sure it's okay with the boss, the principal, or the management. We use no bad language, but it can get a little noisy with all the laughter and applause! It is also a good idea to have a contact person at the location who knows we are coming but can keep it a surprise for the recipient.
  • Singing Telegram: When can you deliver a Singing Telegram?
    We deliver seven days a week.
  • Singing Telegram: When should my character arrive?
    We recommend that your character arrive 30 minutes after your guests arrive. Our entertainers arrive in costume and begin the minute they walk into the door. There is no setup required. Our performers allow an extra 15-30mins to get to your event, to allow for unforseen circumstances. Please let us know if there are any known delays getting to your location- high-traffic area, etc. If you are hosting your party at a public venue or park, please provide a meeting place for the performer and be available by phone the day of the party, to avoid tardiness.
  • Singing Telegram: Should I call to confirm my reservation?
    Once your order is taken you are all set. Placing an order takes just a few minutes. If you have any questions or need to add something you can call to confirm just to set your mind at ease but it is not necessary.
  • Singing Telegrams: I would like a different character than what is listed...can you do that?
    We have over 300 costumes and characters and not all of them are pictured. If you have a specific character that you would like...just ask! We may have it already or may be able to custom make it for your event. Additional fees may apply.
  • Singing Telegrams: Performer Requests
    We reserve the right to change performers/cast members due to emergency circumstances or illness. We will happily replace your performer with another trained professional. Each of our performers are trained models and actors and will provide you with the same show outlined in the character description.
  • Singing Telegrams: The performers aren't going to do anything lewd or crude, are they?"
    Eastern Onion has been doing singing telegrams Nationwide since the 70's. The characters have been evolving as the times have changed. The shows are designed to make someone the center of attention and also to entertain the crowd. They are performed by actors who know how to think on their feet and improvise. We are not trying to shock or embarrass anyone. Of course, anytime someone is made the center of attention it can be a little embarrassing, so watch out for paybacks!
  • Singing Telegrams: What guarantee do I have that the person will show up?
    We use only professional actors, musicians, etc. We screen our talent carefully. They will show up, and do a wonderful job. Every once in a while a car will break down, or someone will break a leg the day of the show. There are always situations that are beyond our control, but the performer will call you.
  • Yard Greeting Telegrams: How does the Yard Greetings Work?
    Yard Greeting Telegram signs will be delivered, set up and removed on the same day. Set up is between 12:00AM and 6:00AM and removal of signs is after DUSK.
  • Yard Greeting Telegrams: Can they be setup at a different time?
    We are here to meet the needs of your occasion. Make sure to let us know on your order under special instructions that you need a different time and we will work to accommodate it.
  • Yard Greeting Telegrams: Weather
    Weather can be unpredictable and may prevent us from setting up your display. Inclement weather includes lightning/thunderstorms, rain, snow, high winds and any other Act of God that would put us or our lawn display in harm's way. We will first attempt to reschedule, if that is not possible, you will be given a full refund.
  • Yard Greeting Telegrams: Sign Care / Critter Care
    Please remember not to touch, move, remove or play around signs or critters. Make sure not to mow around the signs or critters. If there is damage, the homeowner is responsible. If you have a lawn service, please arrange for them to come BEFORE we set up. Flying debris or weed wackers can cause lots of damage. You will be invoiced for missing or damaged critters or signs. Please DO NOT allow anyone to play on or around the critters or yard signs. The signs or critters WILL NOT safely support the weight of a child or adult leaning, sitting or playing on it. The Critters and Signs are the property of Eastern Onion. Please do not destroy, trash or keep a critter as a souviner as the client will be invoiced for any missing or damaged. Please DO NOT attach balloons to any part of the display. We encourage you to take a selfie or pose next to our cute critters however, please do not move them from the ground. Eastern Onion and all representatives are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage that may be caused to any person or personal property during the set-up or removal of any of our critters.
